Information for Parents

Making the transition from school to university is an exciting time for many students. It can also be challenging. That is why as a parent, you have a key role in helping your child decide on what course or study path is right for them.

The following information and links will give you a good idea of how you can support your child in their decision making.

Benefits of a CQUni Education

We have industry relevant courses for international students spanning 13 study areas across vocational, undergraduate, postgraduate coursework and research. These open many possible careers.

What's more is that we know the importance of preparing students to succeed in their academic studies. And this is why we are proud to offer FREE English language courses to all students enrolling in a CQUEnglish packaged pathway with an academic course.

What your child will get is more than just a qualification. Look forward to learning from teachers who are some of the best in their fields, hands-on work experience through internships and placements, a truly Australian experience through transferring campuses or travelling during study breaks, enhanced professional connections and job prospects, plus many more.

My parents were very supportive, and they motivated me to study abroad and experience life in another country. I knew Australia was a safe country. Applying to CQUni was quick. I also received credits for my previous studies.

Transitioning to University

We have various entry pathways to suit different individual circumstances, so whether your child is currently in high school, moving from a vocational course or re-entering education, there is a pathway available.

Fees and Costs

Our course tuition fees are comparatively affordable in the Australian university setting. Apart from tuition fees, your child must have sufficient funds for additional expenses such OSHC, textbooks, accommodation and other costs of living.

Incentives and Discounts

Apart from scholarships, there are various incentives to further support international students such as refund for visa refusals and  payment plans. Please note there are terms and conditions to be met.

Applications to any CQUni courses are free. Your child may apply directly or through our authorised agents. There are minimum English language and academic requirements that must be met for each course.

Key Dates

The majority of our courses have three intakes, so your child can start in March, July or November. We encourage applications are submitted at least six to eight weeks prior to the start of each intake.

International Student Support and Safety

Our goal is to ensure our students are supported from the very beginning. Your child will have access to an extensive support system so they can gain an enriching experience academically and socially.
