CQUniversity is the naming rights partner of the Rockhampton Cyclones NBL1 team. Our partnership aims to empower young women to pursue their aspirations in semi-professional basketball while retaining young talent in the regions to study and work. We provide player scholarships, accommodation packages, gym memberships, and access to our Indoor Sports Stadium for training sessions. Together, we champion gender equality in sports and foster an environment of equal opportunity.

CQUniversity is the High-Performance Partner of the Cairns Taipans NBL team. This partnership represents our vision for growth in Cairns and Far North Queensland and our commitment to promoting sport and active lifestyles. We provide significant financial contributions and ongoing support from our Exercise and Sports Sciences department, including access to staff knowledge, equipment, and high-performance facilities.

CQUniversity is proud to support The Children's Christmas Party a heartwarming initiative that brings joy to 1,200 children from Cairns and as far north as Port Douglas, south to Cardwell and inland to the Tablelands and all the points in between. This special event is dedicated to creating unforgettable memories for children, including those living with disabilities, by offering them a day filled with fun, laughter, and Christmas magic! Supporting this event presents an excellent opportunity for CQUniversity to actively demonstrate its commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. CQUniversity is proud to be a Foundation Partner of NRL Cowboys House, operated by the Cowboys Community Foundation - the charitable arm of the North Queensland Cowboys. NRL Cowboys House is a culturally safe and supportive boarding facility for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women attending partner schools in Townsville. Through this meaningful partnership, CQUniversity is committed to providing mentorship, career development opportunities, experience days and outreach along with engagement and support aligned with the individual needs of each student.
