International Scholarship Opportunities

CQUniversity ASEAN Student Scholarship

Continuing in 2027, the CQUniversity ASEAN Student Scholarship is a prestigious, limited scholarship for high‑achieving applicants from Southeast Asia who demonstrate strong academic results, leadership potential and a commitment to positive change. If successful, you will receive 50 per cent off your course fees.

Indonesia Student Scholarship

Continuing in 2027, the Indonesia Student Scholarship supports Indonesian students in pursuing their study ambitions in Australia. By offering 50 per cent off tuition fees, this scholarship helps you focus on what matters most — achieving academic success and building a strong future.

International Research Scholarship

The International Research Scholarship offers Higher Degree by Research international students a 25 per cent tuition fee reduction while pursuing research at CQUniversity.

Southeast Asia Excellence Scholarship (Available until Term 3 2026)

The Southeast Asia Excellence Scholarship supports academically strong applicants from Southeast Asia. If eligible, you will receive a 25 per cent reduction on your course fees. This scholarship will no longer be offered after Term 3 2026 and scholarship recipients will instead benefit from reduced tuition fees in 2027.

International Merit Scholarship (Available until Term 3 2026)

The International Merit Scholarship is a tier-based scholarships and offers a 15, 20 or 25 percent reduction on your course fees. This scholarship will no longer be offered after Term 3 2026 and scholarship recipients will instead benefit from reduced tuition fees in 2027.

Live, Earn and Learn Scholarship

The Live, Earn and Learn Scholarship supports you if you commence study at CQUniversity’s Rockhampton North campus in an eligible term. The scholarship provides 35 per cent off accommodation for your first 15 weeks at Capricornia College, along with opportunities for part‑time work on campus or in the local community.

International Alumni Scholarship

If you are a recent CQUniversity graduate continuing your studies with us, the International Alumni Scholarship offers 15 per cent off your next course. This scholarship supports continued professional development and fosters lifelong learning within our global alumni community.

Research Training Program Stipend Scholarship

If you are undertaking a higher degree by research at CQUniversity, you may be eligible for the Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarship. This scholarship provides financial support to assist with living costs and is valued at up to A$38 000 per year.

Australia Awards Scholarships

Funded by the Australian government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Australia Awards Scholarships provide you with the opportunity to undertake full‑time undergraduate or postgraduate study in Australia if you are from a participating country. The scholarship typically covers tuition fees, return airfares, a living allowance, OSHC, and more, with application rounds administered by DFAT. Please check the DFAT website for more information including when new rounds of applications are open. 

LPDP-Australia Awards Scholarship

Funded by the Australian and Indonesian governments, the LPDP-Australia Awards Scholarship is available if you are a high‑achieving Indonesian citizen undertaking a selected master’s degree at CQUniversity. The scholarship covers 100 per cent of your tuition fees, plus additional support such as living allowance, health insurance, visa costs, and travel expenses.

Latin America Free English Initiative

International students who hold citizenship of a Latin American country can now receive up to 30 weeks of free English when they package their English studies with an academic course at CQUniversity. This offer is available for new students who commence their English studies in 2026 or 2027.

With English courses normally priced at A$480 per week, this initiative provides significant savings and an incredible opportunity to strengthen your language skills before starting your degree. Terms and conditions apply.
