Undergraduate Degree Offers

Your undergraduate degree offer will be emailed to your nominated email address on your application. When you receive an offer, the offer email will clearly outline how to respond and accept your offer and the due date.

Types of Offers

If you receive a full offer, you have met all of the entry requirements. With a full offer, you can accept and enrol for the offered commencement date.

If you receive a conditional offer, you must meet the condition/s by providing supporting documentation before the due date listed on the offer. If you do not meet the condition/s, your offer will be cancelled.

Timing of Offers

Term 1 offers will take place between August and February.

If you have applied via a Tertiary Admissions Centre (TAC) you can expect offers to be released as outlined in QTAC and UAC key dates.

If you have applied directly, offers will be released will be more frequently. We aim to assess applications within 5-10 days of receipt.

Term 2 offers will occur between March and June.

If you have applied via a Tertiary Admissions Centre (TAC) you can expect offers to be released as outlined in QTAC and UAC key dates.

If you have applied directly, offers will be released will be more frequently. We aim to assess applications within 5-10 days of receipt.

Term 3 offers will occur between August and October.

If you have applied via a Tertiary Admissions Centre (TAC) you can expect offers to be released as outlined in QTAC and UAC key dates.

If you have applied directly, offers will be released will be more frequently. We aim to assess applications within 5-10 days of receipt.

Offers for courses delivered in hyperflexible format are made ongoing throughout the year. 

We aim to assess applications within two to four business days of receipt.

Responding to an Offer

You will need to accept your offer through QTAC. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to QTAC's Application Services
  2. Select View or Edit under My Application
  3. Select View offer details under Offers
  4. Select Respond to offer
  5. Once you accept your offer through QTAC, click on the ‘Enrol at CQU’ link.  This will link you to CQU's MyCQU Student Portal, which steps you through how to enrol in your units and prepare to commence study.

Applying for Credit and Credit Assessments

If you have applied to study your CQU course via QTAC, wait to receive your offer from CQU, accept your offer and apply for credit via the online form available on our Credit Calculator page. You must submit your credit application and supporting documentation at least four weeks before the term commences. Learn more about Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning.

Refer to your email from our Admissions team that outlines your offer details. To accept your offer, follow these steps:

Log in to CQU's MyCQU Student Portal using the login details provided in your offer letter. 

If you don't know your login details, check out our accessing MyCQU page.

Your offer will appear on your home page, click on the 'Accept' button.

Once you've accepted your offer, you can enrol in units (subjects) and prepare to commence your studies.

If you have applied to study your CQU course via UAC, wait to receive your offer from CQU, accept your offer and apply for credit via the online form available on our Credit Calculator page. Refer to your email from our Admissions team that outlines your offer details. To accept your offer, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to CQU's MyCQU Student Portal using the login details provided in your offer letter. 
    If you don't know your login details, check out our accessing MyCQU page.
  2. Your offer will appear on your home page, click on the 'Open Apply Online' button.
  3. Within the Apply Online portal, under Submitted Applications, click on the Course Offer you'd like to accept.
  4. Click on the Accept button. 

Once you've accepted your offer, you can enrol in units (subjects) and prepare to commence your studies.

Applying for Credit and Credit Assessments

If you have applied to study your CQU via direct application, you can submit your credit application as part of your application via our direct application system, Apply Online. Once you've received your offer and accepted it, your credit application will be assessed. You must submit your credit application and supporting documentation at least four weeks before the term commences. Learn more about Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning.

Your offer letter may include a lapse date, also known as the enrolment due date. If your offer lapse date or enrolment due date has passed, you may still be able to accept your offer. Please contact 13 27 86 to discuss your options.

Courses you cannot accept after lapsed offer date/ enrolment due date

You cannot accept an offer after the lapsed offer date/ enrolment due date for the following courses:

If you applied through QTAC and your offer has lapsed (other than for the courses listed above), please call QTAC on 1300 467 822 and advise them that you do wish to accept your offer and request that they reinstate it so that you are able to accept. Make sure you have your applicant ID number available. The QTAC system will then direct you to the next step to complete your enrolment.

Once you have formally accepted an offer, you cannot defer admission; however, many courses may allow you to start at a later term by enrolling in a later term of study.

Courses that cannot be deferred

Not all courses will permit you to commence at a later date, particularly any competitive or quota course, and those with specific entry requirements like an audition, outlined below:

For the above courses, you will be required to submit a new admission application or change your preference with the Tertiary Admission Centre to commence at a later date.

Principal's Recommendation Scheme 

If you have received an offer via the Principal's Recommendation Scheme, you are not eligible to defer your offer. You will need to submit a new application when you wish to commence your studies.

International Students

If you are an International student and would like to defer your course commencement, you must contact CQUniversity by emailing international-admissions@cqu.edu.au.

Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning

You may be eligible to fast-track your studies and apply for credit or recognition of prior learning based on your previous study or work experience.
