The Bachelor of Business consists of 24 units including eight core units, eight units from your chosen major, and a final eight units from a second major or two, four-unit minors.

Majors
Accounting
Upon successfully completing this course with the Accounting Major and the Professional Accounting Minor, you will be able to apply for admission to either CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Financial Planning
In this major, you'll develop expertise across personal financial planning, business finance, investment portfolios, and retirement and superannuation. To round out your knowledge, you'll also examine the role of insurance and risk management in client-focused financial and estate planning.
Hospitality Management
The Hospitality Management Major incorporates a number of cross-disciplinary units to meet the needs of the hospitality sector. You'll learn about the fundamentals of hospitality management, innovations in tourism, and developing sustainable tourism enterprises, as well as consumer behaviour, marketing service products and contemporary issues in HRM. Please note that the Hospitality Management and Marketing majors cannot be undertaken together.
Human Resource Management
You'll graduate with the skills and knowledge to handle a variety of contemporary HR issues across all types of organisations. This major will expand on conflict and negotiation, organisational change, recruitment, performance and the underlying concepts and techniques.
Management
In this major, you'll gain skills and knowledge to manage and lead others and organisations. You'll explore organisational behaviour, enterprise systems, business finance, quality management, operations management, corporate governance and ethics, entrepreneurship, innovation and start-ups and strategy and change.
Marketing
Excel with a versatile skillset valued across all industries as you learn to successfully connect with customers and implement demand-generation marketing activities. You'll explore consumer behaviour and the broader marketing mix, plus examine the importance of digital integration. To complement your skills in delivering creative strategies, you'll also perform market research to understand insights and analytics to inform marketing decision-making.
Multi-Disciplinary
The Multi-Disciplinary major is available if you already hold an approved AQF Level 7 degree and wish to gain credit for that degree. Approval from the Head of Course is required to access this major.
Property
Accredited by the Australian Property Institute (API), this major will certify you as a Property Practitioner. Combined with your professional accounting qualification, you will graduate with a competitive skill set that is highly valued, especially in regional Australia. This major is highly contextual and embeds industry knowledge of property law, contract law, business finance, property economics, property and asset management, construction and property investment, and finance.
Minors
Human Resource Management
In this minor, you will gain exposure to the core functions of talent recruitment and retention. You will also develop insight into conflict and negotiation as well as learn perspectives on change management within an organisation.
Liberal Studies
The Liberal Studies Minor enables students to compile a Minor consistent with an area of interest and/or career/profession requirements not already covered in the existing majors and minors. The Liberal Studies minor also provides you with the opportunity to complete a CQUGlobal Learning Abroad program as part of your course. You can undertake a CQUGlobal program in the second or third year; however, you must start planning for this well in advance.
Management Postgraduate Pathway
With a GPA of 5.5 or more, you will have the unique option to complete the Management Postgraduate Pathway minor. This articulates into the Master of Business Management. If you have your sights set on attaining our Master of Business Management, this minor allows you to study four units from the master's provided you meet the grade point average requirements.
Marketing
Tailor your studies with this minor for insight into the value of the marketing fundamentals. You'll explore consumer behaviour, product development and branding, marketing communication and digital marketing concepts.
Professional Accounting
Upon successfully completing this course with the Accounting Major and the Professional Accounting Minor, you will be able to apply for admission to either CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Startups and Entrepreneurship
Begin your journey towards an exciting career within startups and entrepreneurship. Within this minor, you'll learn the laws around startups and intellectual property. Plus, you'll explore product development, branding and innovation theories.

Professional Practice and Experience - BUSN13004
This unit offers students the opportunity to select from the following options subject to availability: - Work placement option. - Global experience option. - Project option for students already in the workplace.

Fees & Scholarships
Indicative first-year fee
The Indicative First-Year Fee is the approximate cost of enrolling in this course for one full-time academic year (eight units over two terms) for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) and should be used as a guide only. Your actual fees may vary, depending on the units you select to study and your study load. Check the cost-per-unit spreadsheet available on our fees webpage for the approved unit fees. Commonwealth Supported Places
This course has Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) available, and as a domestic student, you'll be offered a CSP, provided you meet CSP eligibility requirements. CSPs are subsidised by the Australian Government, meaning you are only required to pay the student contribution rather than full tuition fees.
HECS-HELP Loan
You may be eligible for a HECS-HELP government loan if you are offered a CSP. HECS-HELP is an Australian Government loan scheme that assists you in paying your student contributions. Provided you meet the HECS-HELP eligibility criteria, you may use HECS-HELP to defer part or all of your student contribution fees.
Part of your course costs will include Student Services and Amenities Fees (SSAF). SSAF is charged in addition to your student contribution or tuition fees and is used to help enhance your study experience.
