The Bachelor of Accounting/Bachelor of Business gives you the opportunity to increase your employability by developing knowledge and skills in both accounting and business. Financial Planning major
This major consists of eight units.Â
You'll complete the first six in the unit list below, and then select two from the final four listed.Â
To apply for membership with the Financial Planning Association, you should select this major. If you wish to apply for registration with the Tax Practitioners Board (after meeting the Board's requirements for practical experience), you should select the option of LAWS19034 Taxation Law and Practice B and PROP12002 Property Rights and Law.

The Bachelor of Accounting/Bachelor of Business provides you with a degree that is accredited by CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and meets the associate membership requirements of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Depending on the electives you choose, you may also be eligible to apply for registration with the Tax Practitioners Board (after meeting the Board's requirements for practical experience). Graduates are also eligible to join the Association of Taxation and Management Accountants at the member level.
As well as providing you with an accredited accounting degree, you also can complete a major from several other business disciplines. You may be eligible for membership of a number of national and international business-related professional associations, depending on the units and major selected.
Professional Practice and Experience - BUSN13004
BUSN13004 provides for an internship, a study tour or a professional project which may be conducted in cooperation with a current employer.

Fees & Scholarships
Indicative first-year fee
The Indicative First-Year Fee is the approximate cost of enrolling in this course for one full-time academic year (eight units over two terms) for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) and should be used as a guide only. Commonwealth Supported Places
This course has Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) available, and as a domestic student, you'll be offered a CSP, provided you meet CSP eligibility requirements. CSPs are subsidised by the Australian Government, meaning you are only required to pay the student contribution rather than full tuition fees.
HECS-HELP Loan
You may be eligible for a HECS-HELP government loan if you are offered a CSP. HECS-HELP is an Australian Government loan scheme that assists you in paying your student contributions. Provided you meet the HECS-HELP eligibility criteria, you may use HECS-HELP to defer part or all of your student contribution fees.Â
Part of your course costs will include Student Services and Amenities Fees (SSAF). SSAF is charged in addition to your student contribution or tuition fees and is used to help enhance your study experience.
