Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Entrepreneurship is a dedicated fee-free postgraduate qualification available under CQU's Graduate Guarantee. The Graduate Guarantee is an initiative to support you if you are unable to secure career-related employment within six months of graduation from any of our undergraduate degrees.

The Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Entrepreneurship has been developed specifically to enhance your employability under our Graduate Guarantee. From 2022, if you successfully complete any of our undergraduate degrees and you are not able to secure part-time or full-time employment in a relevant field within six months, our Graduate Guarantee will support your continued learning at no cost. 

The course will introduce you to key concepts in business leadership, entrepreneurship and social and business innovation. The units within the Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Entrepreneurship are drawn from our well-regarded MBA (Leadership) to offer you up-to-date and industry-relevant knowledge to complement your discipline. 

To apply to study the Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Entrepreneurship for free under the Graduate Guarantee you must:

  • Have graduated from a CQUniversity undergraduate degree in 2022 or later
  • Have been looking for employment in your discipline of study for a minimum of six months following your graduation
  • Have not gained full or part-time employment in your discipline of study
  • Maintain an up-to-date portfolio / LinkedIn profile.
  • Provide a statutory declaration that the above is true.

Application and course completion timelines

You will need to apply between six and 12 months after graduation.

You will have up to twelve months from accepting your offer to complete all four units of this course and study fee-free. If you need to take longer, any remaining units after twelve months can be purchased.

Indicative Course Fee

The Indicative Course Fee is the total approximate cost of enrolling in this course in a Full Fee Paying (FFP) Place in 2026. The indicative fee should be used as a guide only. Fees are charged per unit studied and the amount quoted above would be applicable if you completed all units in this course in 2026. Graduate Guarantee: Fee-Free Qualification

The Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Entrepreneurship is a dedicated fee-free postgraduate qualification available under CQU's Graduate Guarantee, which means that unit fees will be waived, and you'll be eligible to apply for this course at no cost if you’re a CQU graduate and haven’t secured either a part-time or full-time job within your discipline within six months of issuing your degree.

The Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Entrepreneurship is self-paced and offered 100% online. Provided you meet relevant eligibility/entry requirements, you will have up to 12 months to complete your free study.
