Yungura

Collaborative Research for Nation Building and Systems Reform.

Yungura: Being one and working together.

The Yungura research cluster is grounded and grown in our enduring relationships with place, people, nations and Country, and in our traditions, customs, lore and spirituality. The vision of Yungura is to collaborate through embedded research with First Nations’ organisations for values-based co-creation, implementation and evaluation of First nation building and systems change efforts. We recognize systems change as a fundamental and transformative process that creates change through addressing underlying relationships, structures, power dynamics, mental models and social narratives in order to achieve a collectively held purpose or goal.  It involves a holistic, interconnected approach often achieved through collaborative efforts involving multiple stakeholders. We focus on documenting these processes and finding mechanisms to capture the impacts - which can be both tangible and intangible.
