Part Time Duration
---
78 weeks
78 weeks over years 11 and 12.
This timeframe allows students to prioritise and allocate study throughout senior schooling. The second year of this program ensures suitable time for completion of units prior to processing of QCE points.
As part of the course structure students are required to perform practical assessments throughout the course. These practical assessments are to be undertaken in a tourism environment as either a paid or voluntary worker or through vocational placement. To complete the practical assessments students will need to be in a customer focused role, using organisational policies and procedures to guide work activities, working with some independence and providing guidance to other staff.
The existing skills, knowledge and experience of learners will also be taken into consideration of amount of training required for this program cohort. Credit transfer for units previously completed at a Nationally Recognised Training Organisation may also reduce the time of this program.
