CQUniversity is also recognised as a leading young university, being ranked by QS and by the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2019 in the top 150 universities in the world under 50 years old. The Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings 2019 recognise universities across the world for their social and economic impact based on the United Nations' Sustainable Development goals. CQUniversity ranked 83 for Quality Education among other notable Sustainable Development goal scores.

Current Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) results show more CQUniversity graduates (79.9 per cent) secure full-time employment within four months of graduating than the national average (71.9 per cent), and these undergraduate alumni earn above the national average for starting salaries ($64 000 vs $60 000).

Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) data shows CQUniversity postgraduate alumni experience positive career outcomes, earning 22 per cent more than the national average, with median salaries for full-time employees at $99 100 (national average $81 400) within four months of graduating. Our postgraduate alumni are equipped with the skills they need to advance their careers, with 80 per cent of graduates saying their course helped improve their skills (national average 78.3 per cent).
