Health and Welfare
At CQUniversity, we take the health and welfare of our students very seriously. The information on these pages will connect you with health services offered through our health clinics, as well information on how to look after your general health and wellbeing.
Health Clinics
CQUniversity Health Clinics are located in Rockhampton, Mackay, and Sydney, offering physiotherapy, podiatry, and chiropractic services. Clinics are available to CQUniversity staff and students as well as the general public.
Transport
Public transport is often needed to travel to and from campus, and for other recreational activities. Find out what transport options are available in your state or territory.
Childcare services
During your time at university, you may need to utilise childcare services in order to attend classes, lectures, exams, and other commitments. In this section, we've provided a list of useful links to assist in sourcing childcare facilities to suit your needs.
Respect. Now. Always.
In February 2016, Australia's universities launched a groundbreaking initiative to prevent and address sexual assault and harassment across the sector. Respect. Now. Always. highlights the determination of Australia’s universities to ensure that our universities are places of safety and respect.
LGBTIQ Support
CQUni is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for all students with a zero-tolerance approach to bullying and discrimination. As part of this, we have implemented an Ally Program to promote acceptance and understanding for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ) students.
Spirituality
With an open heart and mind, the CQUniversity Multi-faith Chaplaincy is an inclusive and welcoming space where students, staff and our wider communities are invited to explore through thoughtful reflection, worship and spiritual practices issues and values of importance to individuals, the University organisation, and wider communities.
