Living Sovereignty: Creating Spaces for Self-Determination, Sovereignty and Sustainability.

Guyji: determined to do a certain thing

This research cluster brings together a suite of community-led, place-based initiatives that advance Indigenous self-determination, cultural governance, educational equity, and community resilience across regional and remote Australian communities. Through deep collaboration with First Nations partners, the cluster is generating transformative and sustainable frameworks, tools, and knowledge systems that empower communities to shape their own futures.

This research is proudly supported by funding from our partner BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA).
