Creating Space for Indigenous Self-determination, Sovereignty and Sustainability
About the Research Project
The project works with Indigenous communities to understand the process of developing and applying a community-designed, place-based, framework for residents of First Nations communities to access higher education. The Project aims to identify and understand the processes required to develop and apply community-designed, place-based access to higher education that responds to Indigenous community needs. We define higher education as being any educational opportunities post year 10 and we plan to evaluate the effectiveness of the framework for regional and remote communities.
Impact
Development of a community-led framework for regional and remote First Nations communities to support successful access to higher education that is adaptable and place-based.
