Overview

Does your business need a Food Safety Supervisor? This short course will equip individuals with skills in hygienic practices and handling food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food.

Under the Food Act 2006, every licensable food business Queensland requires an accredited Food Safety Supervisor to be nominated and registered on their Food Safety Plan. This short course will equip individuals with skills in hygienic practices and handling food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food. This short course is extremely advantageous to those already working or wanting to enter the hospitality industry within areas such as cafes, kiosks, market stalls, catering area of hospitals, nursing homes and food outlets. Students undertaking this course will study the accredited units SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety and SITXFSA002 - Participate in safe food handling practices.

This skill set is a nationally recognised accredited course.
