JOB PROSPECTS

Trade Qualified Electrician.

This qualification is for indentured apprentices who are currently employed as Apprentice Electricians. Throughout this course, you will learn skills to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment in building and premises. You will also learn the skills and knowledge required to interpret electrical drawings, circuit development, transformers, lighting, three-phase induction motors, single-phase motors, circuit protection, and installation requirements. On successful completion of this qualification, you will meet the ERAC requirements for an ‘Electrician’s licence’. Training for this course will be delivered through a combination of on and off-the-job learning strategies which are consistent with a formal apprenticeship.

  1. Students will receive a Result of Assessment within 21 days of completion of each unit/module or within 21 days of the ‘close of study’ date.
  2. Students who successfully complete all required units/modules will receive their qualification and an Academic Statement itemising all units/modules successfully completed.
  3. Following receipt of written advice from the student (or teacher) that the student does not intend to complete the full course, the student will be issued with a Statement of Attainment listing all units/modules successfully completed.
