As an Engineering Associate, you will:
- Apply practical skills in design and management
- Bridge the gap between construction and engineering
- Contribute to real projects with real impact
- Transition from trade-based roles into more technical positions

Considerations for Organisations
An engineering cadetship partnership with CQUniversity will help grow your workforce and enhance engineering education sustainably. To maximise success, we recommend:
- Organisational support: Cadets must feel part of their workplace and have an employment agreement. They must also have a supportive environment that considers their study loads, ensuring a long‑term, sustainable work‑study‑life balance. Full-time employment should include 0.5 days per week, plus one week per term study release for assignments, exams and intensive classes.
- Complimentary learning: Cadets learn best when work opportunities complement their studies. CQUniversity will provide information on learning material to support workload and project allocations.
- Performance monitoring: Regular coaching and guidance on the job is essential for cadets to thrive in your work environment and achieve their academic aspirations.
- Financial incentives: Consider adding other incentives to attract talent to your workplace. Scholarships, equipment (laptops, workwear, etc.), course fees, and living allowances can be included.
