Research connections go global with Health Workforce Academy Conference

CQUniversity has teamed up with healthcare professionals from around the globe to host the inaugural 2021 Health Workforce Academy Virtual Conference Beyond the research: Impact and translation to practice' in a two-day online event next week (21-22 April).

The conference sessions will allow participants to enhance their applied research capabilities by sharing health workforce knowledge' research findings and generating robust discussions with industry experts from 12 health institutions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in masterclasses and oral presentations with speakers from:

  • The University of Queensland
  • Griffith University
  • Latrobe University
  • Flinders University
  • Monash University
  • The Prince Charles Hospital
  • Metro North Mental Health Hospital and Health Services
  • University of Technology Sydney
  • Carleton University' Canada.

  • Lithuanian University of Health Sciences

Coordinator of the Health Workforce Academy' Dr Ashlyn Sahay explained the conference will immerse attendees in the knowledge of health workforce research that is being undertaken both nationally and internationally.

'We have 25 presentations on health workforce research alongside masterclasses in Translating Research into Practice through Micro-credentials: and Positive Psychology and Stress Management'" she said.

"The lunchtime panel will bring together academics and industry experts' including those with policy background' for a one-hour Q&A.

"All of which are guaranteed to ignite the imagination."
