CQUniversity campuses open doors to thousands of aspiring students

CQUniversity welcomed more than 1200 prospective students to campus over the past month for the University's annual Open Day events.

The free Open Day events gave people the opportunity to discover firsthand what it is like to study at university at six campus locations in Rockhampton' Mackay' Bundaberg' Gladstone' Townsville and Cairns.

CQUniversity Open Day Coordinator Karlie Williams said the University had great feedback from those looking to start their career or upskill in their current role.

"There was a real buzz around the campuses. We had people from some of the most regional areas in Queensland' and even a family travel from Sydney' to learn about our tertiary education offerings'" she said.

"Prospective students had the opportunity to meet their future teachers' attend career presentations' get individual support for applications and pathways – and go on campus tours.

"CQU staff enjoyed the opportunity to engage with interested students and give a helping hand for people to get the most out of their Open Day experience."

With more than 250 study options on offer at CQU' ranging from short courses' certificates' and diplomas to undergraduate' postgraduate and research higher degrees' prospective students had the opportunity to explore a variety of pathways.

For those who were unable to attend an on-campus event' CQUniversity will be hosting an Online Chat event on Wednesday 14 September' from 3pm to 6pm to answer questions around how to apply and study with CQU in 2023.
