CQUniversity has been recognised as a leader when it comes to graduate outcomes.

This week the 2022 Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) – Longitudinal (GOS-L) report was released' indicating that CQUniversity graduates have some of the best medium-term graduate employment prospects in the country.

The GOS-L is the largest annual survey of higher education graduates and collects graduate employment and salary outcomes which are completed by graduates about three years after they finish their studies.

CQUniversity ranked first in Australia for full-time employment outcomes for postgraduates' with 97.6 per cent of graduates employed three years after graduation.

'CQUniversity is delighted to have once again been recognised as a leader when it comes to graduate outcomes with the 2022 Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) – Longitudinal report' indicating that our graduates have some of the best graduate employment prospects in the country'' Vice-Chancellor and President' Professor Nick Klomp said.

CQUniversity graduates from both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees also reported a higher median salary than the National Average in the short-and-medium term.

'CQUniversity also outranks the sector when it comes to graduate starting salaries with the median undergraduate starting salary being $85'700 compared to the national average of $80'000'' Professor Klomp said.

'At CQUniversity' we place a strong focus on ensuring graduates are work-ready and equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen career.

'Many of our courses have great industry placement opportunities and we encourage and enable students to get involved in various leadership and mentoring opportunities. Likewise' we are also delivering courses that directly meet skill demands' particularly in regional Australia. Because of this' many of our students actually connect with related industries and find employment before they even graduate.'

Despite these already excellent outcomes' Professor Klomp said CQUniversity had expanded its commitment to its students and their future employment even further by introducing the Australian-first Graduate Guarantee.

'If you're a CQUniversity undergraduate and you don't secure a part-time or full-time paid role in your field within six months of graduating' you're eligible to enrol in and complete a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Entrepreneurship – worth thousands of dollars – absolutely free'' Professor Klomp said.

'The aim of the guarantee is to ensure all CQUniversity students have opportunities to increase their employability and stand out in a competitive jobs market' where entrepreneurial skills and an innovative mindset are high on employers' priority lists.

'By offering this to our graduates we are holding ourselves to account for getting our graduates into employment as soon possible.'
