Five-star success
CQUniversity has been recognised as a five-star institution in a highly regarded global rating system.
The University received an overall five-star rating, plus five stars in nine additional categories in the latest release of the QS Stars University Ratings including Teaching; Facilities; Employability; Good governance; Social impact; Research; Global engagement; Arts; and Diversity, equity and inclusion.
The QS Stars University Ratings system awards intuitions with an overall star rating as well as star ratings for individual assessment categories.
CQUniversity’s Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Nick Klomp said this year’s result was the best-ever for CQUniversity and a testament to the University’s teaching and research staff for their continued dedication to students and undertaking research with impact.
"I’m thrilled to see CQUniversity receive full marks for diversity, equity and inclusion because we are incredibly proud to champion equal opportunity and inclusivity in education,” Professor Klomp said.
“Our focus on serving diverse student populations and ensuring their success, demonstrates our dedication to providing a quality education for all.

Professor Klomp said the overall result reflected the University's continued focus on the student experience.

The latest QS results come on the back of a successful year for the University, after it was ranked equal 52nd in the world as part of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024, 320th in the world in the 2024 QS World University rankings: Sustainability and 58th globally for equity.
The University was also recognised in the latest Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) Student Experience Survey report, as among the Top 10 Australian public universities for overall experience by undergraduate domestic students, and as the best public university in Australia by undergraduate international students.
