CQUniversity has entered the 2024 QS World University rankings: Sustainability for the first time, ranking 320th in the world out of 1,403 institutions.

Notably, the University has also ranked number 58 globally for equity once again reflecting its dedication to providing accessible, high-quality education.

It comes a week after CQUniversity was named number one for equity among Australian universities, in the Australian Financial Review’s inaugural ranking of the sector

CQUniversity Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Nick Klomp said he was delighted to once again see CQUniversity achieve a strong global ranking in the equity category.

“We are incredibly proud to champion equal opportunity and inclusivity in education,” Professor Klomp said.

“Our focus on serving diverse student populations and ensuring their success, demonstrates our dedication to providing a quality education for all.

“As a regional university, we strive to be a leader in accessible, high-quality tertiary education and training.”

Other notable categories in which CQUniversity placed well in the second edition of the QS World University rankings: Sustainability include number 161 globally for Impact of Education and 181st in Health and Wellbeing.

The latest rankings results come on the back of a successful year for the University, after it was ranked 74th in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings and in the top 600 universities worldwide in the THE and QS World University Rankings

The University was also recognised in the latest Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) Student Experience Survey report, as among the Top 10 Australian public universities for overall experience by undergraduate domestic students, and as the best public university in Australia by undergraduate international students.
