CQUni Sydney students hosted a TEDx talk event at their campus recently.
An enthusiastic group of CQUniversity student volunteers led by Saroj Basnet and supported by Annette Kalczynska and Amy Croft delivered Sydney campus' first TEDx event.
Twelve months in the planning, the event theme of ‘Be What You Want To Be’, involved a selection of external and internal speakers, who shared their stories to motivate and uplift the audience of students, staff, alumni and community.
When asked what motivated him to embark on such a complex and ambitious journey Saroj said:
“I have wanted to do this for 14 years, as it has been a childhood dream of mine after seeing my first TED talk online. I finally I found an organisation which would support me, so thank you so much CQUni”.
Associate Vice-Chancellor for the New South Wales region Shehan Thampapillai said: “It was an absolute pleasure to support an activity that was student led, which brough a vibrancy to the campus and involved key stakeholders outlined in the university’s strategic plan”.
