An online exhibition of selected works by first-year and second-year CQU Digital Media students on 13 August offered a virtual world of creative talent.
The exhibition, which was coordinated by Digital Media lecturer Regina John-Luan, presented a collection of creative works in a virtual 3D environment including graphic designs, illustrations, web designs, mobile applications, animations, 3D models and short films.
Adobe Education Specialist Dr Tim Kitchen spoke at the launch event, which was attended by Digital Media students, teaching staff, and others. Adobe also provided software subscriptions to students as prizes for outstanding works in each category.
Head of Digital Media Associate Professor Steven Pace said: “this innovative event marks the first time that CQUniversity has held a virtual exhibition of Digital Media student work. Previous exhibitions have been traditional, physical events held on campus.”
The winners in each category of the exhibition were:
2D Animation – Sara Jackson
Graphic Design – Helen Davies
Motion Graphics – Benjamin White
Photography – Olivia Halpin
Short Film – Tylah Kinbacher
Website and Mobile App – Lara Pugh
