CQUniversity Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Klomp delivered his first CQUni guest lecture this week.

Standing in front of a room full of first-year Environmental Science and Science students, Professor Klomp delivered an energetic lecture on a topic he holds close to his heart.

"Environment is my passion - my research was in applied ecology and environmental science so what a great opportunity it was to present a guest lecture, my inaugural one at that, on wildlife management," Professor Klomp said.

Senior Lecturer and Head of Course for Environmental Science Dr Nathan English who usually leads the lectures in ENVR11014 said it was great to have Professor Klomp guest present.

"Nick shared his environmental research experiences and his passion for ecology. His description of the demise of male Antechinus was a winner and I now have students hoping we catch one this trapping season," Dr English laughed.

"The presentation was fantastic and his enthusiasm was infectious."
