CQUniversity is outperforming many of the ‘big players’ among universities offering MBAs, reflected by its inclusion the Top 10 recently published Australian Financial Review BOSS MBA Rankings for 2019.

Associate Professor Michael Segon, the MBA Director, highlights the continued rise in the CQUni MBA from 13th in 2015, to 9th in 2017 and now to 8th. These results show sustained improvement in recent years and an upward trajectory sure to benefit its graduates.

“CQUni is one of only two ranked universities who have 100 per cent of teachers with a PhD and 100 per cent of faculty who have current business experience,” Dr Segon says.

“One reason we are so successful is that our faculty are among the most qualified and active in the business community through consulting and advice roles.”

CQUni’s MBA focuses on developing human-centred management capabilities to develop innovative leaders with integrity and purpose, and who have insights to tackle the changing landscape of the public sector, not-for-profit, social and ethical purpose organisations as well as the for-profit sector.

It’s an approach that helps meet the increasing for managers in the public and private sectors to make organisations financially and socially sustainable, according to Dr Segon.

“Along with knowledge of contemporary people management and leadership practices, our MBA equips managers with the capability to adapt to dynamic, human-tech workplaces that provide positive outcomes for employees, stakeholders and broader society.”

CQUni Dean of Business and Law Professor Lee Di Milia says his School’s MBA is the best value for money among Australian offerings.

"We are not a mass production MBA and this allows our learners to better engage with the learning and development opportunity," Professor Di Milia says.

“Our students can enrol on campus at CQUni Melbourne or study online from anywhere in Australia.

“We have face-to-face teaching plus seminars and workshops in Melbourne and the option of intensive workshops in Brisbane and Sydney for online students."

The Australian Financial Review BOSS MBA Rankings are calculated using an alumni survey, including feedback on student satisfaction, improvement and value for money, and data provided by the business schools, including accreditations, qualifications of teaching staff, research output and staff with current or recent business experience.
