CQUniversity has partnered with the North Queensland Sports Foundation (NQSF) to become Games Partner of the 2020 NQ Games.

The sponsorship will see CQUni as the only higher education partner of the games and will allow the Uni to collaborate with NQSF on a number of activities during the 2020 NQ Games that will be hosted in Townsville from 10-13 April.

The NQ Games is the largest run multi-sport event in regional Australia with the 2020 Games set to host to over 3,600 athletes from more than 30 sports.

CQUni mascot Birdy McBirdface was in Townsville this week to help officially launch the 2020 NQ Games and will return to North Queensland from his home base of Rockhampton next year to attend the four-day sporting event.
