CQUniversity - which has a physical presence in every mainland state - was responsible for cleaning 11 of its regions around the country on Thursday, 20 March as part of Business Clean Up day.

CQUniversity Director Facilities Management Ronald Tollasepp said he was proud to once again partner with Clean Up Australia.

“Clean Up is a great Australian initiative and we welcome the support of our staff and students in getting involved again in 2019,” Mr Tollasepp said.

The 11 CQUni locations to participate in the event included Brisbane, Bundaberg, Cairns (postponed due to rain), Emerald, Gladstone, Mackay, Melbourne, Noosa, Perth, Rockhampton and Sydney.

“We worked with our communities to select suitable areas where CQUni would clean as part of a community clean up and I'm pleased to say it was once again a huge success with tonnes of rubbish collected across our footprint,” Mr Tollasepp said.

Over 150 staff and students got their gloves dirty to participate in the simultaneous University Clean Up with hundreds of kilos of rubbish collected including some interesting items such as shopping trolleys, chairs, wheelie bins and mufflers to name a few.
