Take enough steps to ensure you can really enjoy those Easter buns and chocs

Professor Corneel Vandelanotte ensures the Easter Bunny checks he has done enough steps to work off the calories in his eggs and buns.
Everyone can enjoy Easter treats if they get hopping and ensure they've done enough steps to burn the calories.
That's according to CQUniversity physical activity researcher and 10,000 Steps proponent Professor Corneel Vandelanotte.
Professor Vandelanotte and his Physical Activity Research Group have calculated how many steps on a moderate or brisk walk are required for various treats that are popular over Easter.
Women can enjoy a small carton-style chocolate egg if they commit to 3025 steps on a moderate walk but they will need a brisk walk of 16 060 steps for a large chocolate bunny.
Men can enjoy a small carton-style chocolate egg if they commit to 2420 steps on a moderate walk but they will need a brisk walk of 13 383 steps for a large chocolate bunny.
Hot cross buns fall between a small chocolate egg and a large Cadbury egg in terms of step calculations.
Finally, Professor Vandelanotte reminds us that being active and taking many steps isn’t only about burning calories.
"It’s also about the enjoyment of being outdoors, possibly with friends or family, and the many health benefits that come along with it," he says.
