The Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrican) (Apprenticeship) is just one of about 30 courses Year 12 graduates can do at CQUniversity fee-free under the Free TAFE program.
Central Queensland’s recent Year 12 graduates have the opportunity to get a head start on their futures with CQUniversity offering fee-free TAFE training in key employment areas in conjunction with the Queensland Government.
As part of the Year 12 fee-free training initiative, CQUniversity is offering Certificate II and III level fee-free training in areas including Childhood Education and Care, Hospitality, Laboratory Skills and Horticulture.
Pro Vice-Chancellor VET Operations and Growth Peter Heilbuth said the initiative was “an outstanding opportunity to get a qualification from Central Queensland’s leading TAFE provider.”
“It enables students and their families to avoid building up any student debt and it’s available right now,” Mr Heilbuth said.
“This initiative is a great example of how the State Government is directly supporting Central Queensland students into areas of study with significant employment opportunities.
“What’s more, how often do you get something as valuable as a full qualification, in an area of high employment demand, fee-free?
“It’s absolutely the right time to start studying at TAFE at CQUniversity. A TAFE qualification from CQUniversity is an investment in a more prosperous future.”
