MBA refresh hits the sweet spot with ranking assessors

Published:08 February 2016

A range of national and international ranking bodies have started to take notice of CQUniversity's MBA, following an extensive revitalisation of the program.

CQUniversity's latest endorsement comes from this week's CEO Magazine ranking of its MBA as 'number 5 in Australia and 20th for global online' (details via http://bit.ly/1oe8Nym ).

The CEO Magazine rankings follow CQUniversity's impressive debut in 2015 in 13th place in the BOSS Magazine’s MBA Ranking. The Graduate Management Association of Australia awarded the MBA a 3-star ranking and noted it as the fastest moving program in 2015.

"There are thousands of MBAs world-wide and around 50 offered in Australia so this healthy new profile shows our extensive revitalisation and repositioning of the program is starting to be noticed and we are having a turnaround of our fortunes," Professor Di Milia says.

The MBA is a very competitive market place and we need to ensure we are offering a program that is not only contemporary but reflects what employers are seeking; a focus on people, leadership and change management skills.

"The credit for these MBA achievements are with CQUni's Professor Ross Chapman and Associate Professor Michael Segon."

In a move that could entice interstate business travellers, CQUni is now delivering its Master of Business Administration (MBA) face-to-face in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane CBD campus locations and via distance education.

“There is flexibility for students to mix study modes and attend classes at any location during their program of study,” Professor Di Milia said.

“In addition, the new MBA format delivers class scheduling for convenience with online, weekend, weekday and evening options.”

The MBA is suitable for aspiring managers and experienced and emerging professionals who want to take their already successful careers to the next level.

The fresh program has injected a focus on people management, leadership, change, communication and emotional intelligence, in addition to traditional learning areas such as marketing, finance and accounting.
