CQUni alumnus recognised for new role as a life coach

CQUni graduate Naomi Arnold is helping to organise a fundraising event as part of her role as an 'Engaging Women Ambassador for Good'.

CQUniversity graduate Naomi Arnold undertook an unexpected journey when her father was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

She quit her Australian Government job in Canberra, sold her brand new ‘dream home’, and moved back to Central Queensland to be near family.

After moving to Canberra when she graduated from CQUniversity with her psychology degree, she felt it was time to return to Yeppoon to create a new life and career path. Her father’s diagnosis was an opportunity to turn her five-year plan into a NOW plan – to run her own business, spend more time with her loved ones, and be near the beach again.

Upon returning to study and undertaking an internationally certified course to become a life coach, Naomi found her calling in establishing a business that helped big-hearted and mission-driven people make a difference in the world.

“In becoming a life and business coach, I wanted to help kind and generous people discover and use their uniqueness to create their version of an extraordinary life,” says Naomi. “I wanted to support them with finding and living a creative, passion-fueled and purposeful life. Plus the chance to use my knowledge and experience in psychology to benefit the lives of others in this way excited me.”

Since quitting her Australian Government job only 13 months ago, Naomi’s coaching work has now been recognised with her being a finalist in the Beautiful You Coaching Academy 2014-2016 International Awards under the ‘International Coach of the Year’ category.

Her popular free online resource library is also a finalist for the ‘Book / Podcast / Product of the Year’ category.

“I am so honoured to be a finalist in not just one, but two of these awards. To be recognised alongside such incredible coaches and inspiring humans from all over the world is an absolute dream come true.”

The Beautiful You Coaching Academy Awards, being held on Friday March 11, 2016 at Mardo’s, Port Melbourne, will honour coaches in five categories who are at the cutting edge of the coaching industry.

The International Coach of the Year Award is specifically for the most outstanding certified coach with a thriving business, growing profile, and leadership role in the coaching industry.

“Being recognised as a leader in this fast growing industry has been so very exciting for me. Knowing my clients are happy is incredibly rewarding – and being commended by my mentors in this way feels like the icing on the cake.”

Naomi’s free online resource library is also being recognized as a creative, unique, inspiring, and valuable resource for her readers.

“I created this Library for those who may not be able to afford coaching, but still wanted to make changes in their life. It was my hope that by being free, it would help as many people as possible create their version of a healthy, happy and purposeful life. Learning that the library is now being considered alongside such high calibre books, podcasts, and products for the awards is mind blowing.”
