CQUniversity has been moving towards operationalising its strategic partnership with the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK).

ACK Dean Dr Gad Elbeheri and International Office Manager Johanne Flynn visited CQUniversity Rockhampton North campus for a series of meetings.

CQUni Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor Alastair Dawson says discussions ranged from creation of adjunct research positions to development of resources, including library and database systems.

"The purpose of the visit by Dr Elbeheri and Ms Flynn was to provide us with an opportunity to discuss current projects and explore new possibilities for students and staff including adjunct, research and mobility opportunities," Mr Dawson says.

"Later this month, CQUniversity will also host the first ACK student education tour where five students will come to Rockhampton, stay at the student residential college and meet other students, with a view of becoming a student here at CQUniversity.

"ACK has agreed to sponsor a number of graduating ACK students to come to CQUni to undertake Masters degree studies."

ACK is a private technical college which has experienced rapid growth over the past decade.

CQUni has previously agreed to become a house of review for ACK degrees, to collaborate on research and to operate a CQUni office at ACK in Kuwait.
