Single Non-Award

Looking to update or enhance your knowledge in a specific area without committing to an entire degree? At CQUniversity, you can complete a single unit from within a course, called a single non-award unit.

To study a single non-award unit, you’ll need to meet the admission, entry and any pre-requisite requirements for the course from which the unit belongs.

How to apply for a single non-award unit

Applications for single non-award units close two weeks prior to the commencement of the term you wish to study in. Check key application dates before commencing your application.

Explore our courses, and view the course structure that outlines the units that sit within the course.

Remember, to also check entry requirements and pre-requisites required for the course that the unit belongs to. This information is also available on the course webpage. You’ll need to meet these requirements to be eligible to apply for your single non-award unit of interest.

As a single non-award student, you will be paying full fees.

Check the cost per unit spreadsheet available on our Understanding Course Fees webpage for the fee amount of your chosen unit.

Once completed, you will submit your application via email.
