Pathway Courses

CQUniversity's pathway courses support and assist you in developing the skills and confidence needed for further education. If you are returning to work after some time away, looking to meet pre-requisite subjects or need some additional support to gain the confidence and skills to undertake further study, our pathway courses are a great option.

The Start Uni Now (SUN) initiative and Start TAFE Now (STN) program allows year 11 and 12 students to study CQUniversity courses, while still in high school. You can enrol in a range of undergraduate units or TAFE courses and combine them with your regular high school work.

Our enabling courses include Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) – a great pathway to gain entry to and excel in higher education – and the Tertiary Entry Program (TEP), ideal for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to undertake university study. Finally, the Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways develops the skills needed for further vocational study.
