MEM20413 - Certificate II in Engineering Pathways
Let us help you engineer your career. With this course, you will obtain pre-employment training that may help you gain an apprenticeship or traineeships in the engineering industry, as well as assisting entry into the wider manufacturing industry. This course is a Start TAFE Now (STN) school course.

12 units
Apprenticeships including Boilermaker, Sheet Metal Worker, Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Welder, Mechanical Machinist, Factory Worker, or Metal Production Assistant.
This is a nationally recognised accredited course.
You will be required to supply your own steel-capped boots, jeans, long-sleeved cotton shirt, safety glasses, face shield and welding gloves for this course. If you have any questions in relation to PPE please email stn@cqu.edu.au.

Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.

For high school students you may be eligible for the Queensland Government’s VET in Schools (VETiS) program which is fee-free. Course specific costs may be applicable, an example would be high vis clothes and safety boots for trade courses.
