The Information Technology Directorate (IaTD) delivers real business and technical solutions for the whole of the University's activities in learning, teaching, research and corporate functions.
We combine our professional expertise and knowledge of technology applications with a growing knowledge of the University's business to provide expert consultancy services to our stakeholders.
We communicate widely, effectively and regularly. We are focused on two-way, open communication by establishing effective partnerships with key stakeholders.
We continually review and benchmark our performance in order to improve our planning, customer engagement, service delivery, governance and management.

TaSAC provides CQUniversity students and staff with technical support and assistance.
Term 1 & Term 2:
Monday-Thursday: 7:30am – 9pm
Friday: 7:30am – 7pm
Saturday: 10am - 3pm
Sunday: 12pm - 3pm
Break and Vacation weeks:
Saturday : CLOSED
Information to have ready - When contacting TaSAC, please provide as much detail as possible describing your situation:
- Your full name
- Student number
- Contact details including a telephone number and email address
- A description of the issue and any error messages that are displayed
Where possible, students and staff are encouraged to attach a screen shot.
Video Conferencing & ISL Lecturers - If students or staff require assistance while viewing an ISL lecture or video conference session, please dial extension 2020.
Log your IT Requests Online
SDesk (https://sdesk.cqu.edu.au) is a web-based program that enables students and staff to log their IT and Library service requests and enquiries with the Technology and Services Assistance Centre. Once you submit an IT request, a reference number will be sent to your CQUniversity student or staff email account.
