Chloe Hooton

My name is Chloe Hooton, and I am currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), majoring in Electrical with Data Analytics. I am also the recipient of a CQUniCares Alliance Automation Scholarship.

I am passionate about working with data, because of the challenge it presents when finding key insights in the data to visually communicate the story behind the numbers. As a female pursuing a career in a typically male dominated role, I have been inspired by women in leadership roles and aspire to empower other women to stand up and pursue these opportunities whilst breaking stereotypes.

In addition to my academic workload, I balance my studies with sport and volunteering at the beach with our local surf lifesaving club. The scholarship support has alleviated some of the financial pressures associated with fuel costs, textbooks, and other university materials, and thus allowed me to manage my time more effectively and maintain my commitment to achieving high results in my studies.
