The Academic Career Interruption Research Scholarship provides financial assistance to a new or continuing higher degree by research candidate who can demonstrate a career break of at least five years resulting from carer’s responsibilities and/or being the primary carer of a dependent child.
- You must be enrolled or have received a letter of offer to enrol in an eligible CQUniversity higher degree by research course.
- You must be able to demonstrate a career break of at least five years resulting from carer's responsibilities and/or being the primary caregiver for a dependent child.
- You must be a domestic applicant.
To apply for this award, please complete the Academic Career Interruption Scholarship Application Form and email it to research-scholarships@cqu.edu.au. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Scholarship applications will be assessed based on the merit criteria described in the RTP and RHD Scholarships Policy and Procedure.
Following the close of the assessment round, applications will be reviewed and applicants will be notified of the outcome via email.
The Academic Career Interruption Scholarship provides a living allowance stipend which is paid fortnightly to the recipient through the University's payroll system.
The Academic Career Interruption Scholarship is a Commonwealth-funded postgraduate research scholarship.
