PhD scholarship in energy-efficient suspension design for sustainable road and rail vehicles.
This scholarship supports PhD research on advanced suspension design for road and rail vehicles, with a focus on reducing vibration energy loss, improving ride comfort, and supporting more sustainable transport systems. The project will investigate vehicle dynamic responses, suspension optimisation, and energy-centric vibration control methods. The candidate will work with the Centre for Railway Engineering at CQUniversity and collaborate with researchers from the University of Wollongong under an ARC grant.
Applicants must:
- Be eligible for admission to a CQUniversity Higher Degree by Research program, including meeting CQUniversity English language requirements
- Hold a Bachelor degree with First Class Honours and a Master's degree with a substantial research component, or an equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering, railway engineering, vehicle dynamics, control engineering, mechatronics, or a closely related field
- Be willing to be based in Rockhampton (QLD).
