The WiE Bursary Program is designed to encourage and support women studying a Bachelor of Engineering who may need financial assistance to continue and graduate from their studies. This is part of TMR’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a strong pipeline of qualified female engineers entering the workforce.
To be eligible:
- Academic enrolment: Applicants must be women, currently enrolled in their second, third or fourth year of a Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering degree (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Environmental, Geotechnical, Mechatronics, Information, Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering (ITEE) or Mechanical).
- Proof of residency: Applicants must be residents of Queensland and Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
- Demonstrated need: Candidates should be able to detail how the bursary will assist them in achieving their educational objectives, demonstrate their love of maths and physics, as well as being able to give examples of how they have shown their leadership skills.
