Once you have received your visa, you will need to book your flight to Australia. You should try to arrive in Australia at least two to three weeks before your orientation to allow enough time to overcome jetlag, adjust to the climate, and settle into your permanent accommodation.

It is recommended that you fly into the airport closest to your campus. Depending on your campus, this may require you to fly into a different Australian city first (e.g. Sydney or Brisbane), clear Customs and then continue your journey with a connecting domestic flight. If you require a connecting flight to arrive at your campus, it is important to allow at least two hours between your arrival and departure times to cover any unexpected delays.

Make sure you visit the Customs website and ensure you do not bring any unauthorised materials into Australia.

Airport Transfer

Before you arrive in Australia, you will need to know how to get from the airport to your accommodation. Depending on your city, your transportation options may include private car service, taxi, train or bus. The cost of each option will vary depending on the distance, the time of day you travel and the route taken. If you have not booked a private car service prior to your arrival, you can visit the Information Desk at the airport for assistance.

If your campus is not listed, or you would like further advice about airport pickup options, please contact the Student Engagement Team at least one week prior to your arrival.
