Starting university is an exciting milestone, and orientation is your first step toward a successful and rewarding experience at CQUniversity.

Our orientation program is designed to help you settle in, connect with your peers, and feel confident about your studies. 

What to expect during orientation

CQUEnglish students

Orientation for new CQUEnglish students is held on the first day of class – see dates below. Staff from CQUEnglish will contact you directly with details about orientation one week before your English classes start.

Research higher degree students

Due to differing commencement dates, orientation for Research and VET students will be listed on your Letter of Admission. If you have any questions about your orientation, please contact Student Service SPOT.
