Academic Awards

Have you changed your name since you completed your studies at CQUniversity? If so, please follow the Change of Name process and wait until this has been completed before ordering your awards documentation. This will ensure that your awards documents are issued in the correct name.

Change of Name process

1. Ensure your Unique Student Identifier (USI) is updated to reflect your current name. You can update your details on the Update your details - Australian Government Unique Student Identifier website. If you do not have a USI, you will be required to create one on the Get your USI - Australian Government Unique Student Identifier website.
   
   It is important that the above step is completed prior to the following steps.
    
2. Login into MyCQU using your student account.
3. Click on your initials in the top-right hand corner.
4. Click on ‘Summary and ID’ and then to the right of your name, click ‘Manage’.
5. Fill out the ‘New Details’ section with your new information.
6. Upload your supporting documentation.
7. Click the blue ‘Submit Form’ button at the top right of the page. This will log a request with the Student Data Compliance Team, and you will be advised once the changes have been made.

A testamur is a certificate issued by the authority of the University Council and bearing the seal of CQUniversity and is presented to a graduate when an award is conferred. All CQU students and graduates (including TAFE) receive a testamur.

Digital and hard copy testamurs can be ordered online via the links below. Hard copy testamurs incur a fee.

An academic transcript is another name for an academic record. All CQUniversity students and graduates (including TAFE) can access official digital and hard copy academic transcripts.

A Statement of Attainment is issued to all students who complete a short course at CQU. These are sent to the mailing address listed in your MyCQU within 30 days of completing your short course. A digital Statement of Attainment is not currently available.

If you have lost your Statement of Attainment and require a replacement, view the pricing information and order link below.

Before a Replacement Statement of Attainment order can be processed, we require one of the following:

Statutory Declaration - if your Statement of Attainment was lost, destroyed or stolen, you'll need to provide a Statutory Declaration outlining your particular circumstances. We will check the information included in the Statutory Declaration to confirm it meets the guidelines to issue a replacement. Statutory declarations should be submitted to coursemanagement@cqu.edu.au.

To ensure a smooth process for requesting a replacement Statement of Attainment, please include the course name/code and the reason for your request in your Statutory Declaration.

NOTE: Students are encouraged to submit a myGov Digital Statutory Declaration.

Original Statement of Attainment Returned - if your document has been damaged or you have changed your name and would like your document re-issued in your new name, you must return your original certificate document to the address below via mail, before your replacement can be issued.

Parcel Collect

As our hard copy awards are A4 sized, some mailboxes do not accommodate an A4 document to be left safely.  To ensure that your documents reach you, Australia Post offers a free 'Parcel Collect' or Parcel Locker service. 

If you wish to use one of these services, when submitting your awards document order form, please enter your unique Parcel Collect  or Parcel Locker address as your Delivery Address. Your unique address is a personalised address including your Australian Post Customer Number (APCN). This address is provided by Australia Post, when you register for the Parcel Collect or Parcel Locker service.

If you have successfully completed a micro-credential on our Be Different learning platform, you will receive a digital badge as recognition of your learning achievement. All digital badges and certificates of completion are issued through credly.com.
