Synopsis
Australian innovation policies designed to increase collaboration between industry and the research sector have failed to gain traction over the past 50 years. This project examines regulatory systems, the historical cycles of Australian innovation policymaking, repetition of policy failures, and recycling of innovation policy. The project will investigate successful collaborative ecosystems internationally, in order to ascertain how collaborative barriers have been addressed in other jurisdictions. The principal methodology will be historical and public data analysis.
