Music Education
Synopsis
The Creative Arts Research Training Academy (CARTA) supports Masters and PhD students who want to undertake research about music education. This will usually include projects founded in qualitative methodologies and can be based on music education projects based in schools, private music studios or community music organisations. The music education projects can cover all genres of music and music education in a wide range of contexts. The projects could examine new ideas in music pedagogy, music teacher development, music curriculum development with participants at any stage of their musical development. Students will join a lively and dynamic cohort of creative arts researchers across CQU’s campuses, who come together periodically for CARTA events and research intensives.
