Synopsis
The project explores the integration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) with MEC to enhance the capabilities of edge computing networks. UAVs, often referred to as drones, can act as mobile edge servers or relays, providing computational resources and connectivity for task offloading of both computation and communication (traffic) in dynamic and remote environments. The project focuses on optimizing the collaboration among UAVs to improve the performance in coverage, reliability, and efficiency of MEC services, making MEC more accessible and effective in a wide range of applications. This could lead to significant improvements in application areas such as disaster management, rural connectivity, and smart city infrastructure, ultimately benefiting end-users with faster and more reliable services.
