Optimising screening and surveillance models of care for liver disease: SSOLID Study
About the Research Project
The SSOLID project explores how liver disease can be diagnosed - before irreversible damage occurs. The study is assessing how effective the inclusion of a simple ‘liver check’ during regular primary healthcare visits can be in identifying undiagnosed, clinically significant liver disease.
Impact
The goal is to develop a simple “liver check” pathway that can be routinely used in primary care to improve early detection of clinically significant liver disease and ultimately improve intervention options and patient outcomes.
