As project work expands, professionals face rising pressure to deliver outcomes while sustaining wellbeing. Although AI and Big Data can reduce costs, delays and improve project capability, their effect on socially sustainable, resilient and human-centred project environments remains underexplored. This research examines how AI and Big Data adoption influences wellbeing, team resilience and sustainability in project delivery. Using a quantitative, cross-sectional online survey of PMI volunteers.
Why My Research is Important/Impacts
The research is significant in its empirical meaningful contribution addressing current gaps and allowing further transformative research. Benefits cross PMI practise, employers, communities and governments should demonstrate that digital technology adoption can strengthen resilience, supporting healthier project teams leading to healthier equitable workplaces and society. Practical benefits should see a reduction in project costs and schedule overruns, and reduction in employee burn-out costs. Improvements in overall sustainability of project work also mean better outcomes for businesses innovative capacity to deliver complex initiatives while aligning to PMI strategy
