Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the current standards and codes of practice that theatre companies and live performance venues have in place for accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing people and their experiences in attending live performance. It will also look at what suggestions deaf and hard of hearing people have for the industry. There is a gap in research in this topic and has the potential to benefit multiple groups like the arts industry as well as the deaf community.
