Research Details

Thesis Name

Communities of Practice (CoP) as a Protective Factor Against the Impact of Vicarious Trauma (VT) on Specialist Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Practitioners.

Why My Research is Important/Impacts

The research can contribute to improved mental health and sustainability of staff in the helping professions that work with DFV survivors. More sustainable staffing will reduce inefficiencies linked to high staff turnover, allow more stable long-term care for survivors, and improve the safety of women and children, as well as facilitate recovery and healing.
